Penang Island, Malaysia

Penang is also known as “Pearl of the Orient”  one of the most visited islands in Malaysia. George Town, the capital state of Penang is listed as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Penang is famous for its fantastic food, Penang Botanic Garden, magnificent Bukit Bendera or Penang Hill, beautiful sandy beaches, Batu Ferringhi, Tanjung Bunga and Teluk Bahang. It is home to Kek Lok Si Temple.

How to get there?

Penang is very accessible island both by car, by ferry or by air. It takes approximately 4 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur to Penang island passing through the iconic cable-stayed Penang bridge. There many domestic and international flights to Penang daily. While in Penang, travelers can either hire a taxi or bus to go places.
