Fisherman @ Kinta Nature Park, Batu Gajah, Perak, Malaysia

Kinta Nature Park or Taman Alam Kinta in local Malay language is located in Batu Gajah, state of Perak, Malaysia. It has the largest man-made pond in the state and the largest heronry in Malaysia, where thousand of heron-like birds can be found here in the park. The park is open to public everyday from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. with free admission. It can be reached in approximately 2.5 hours from Kuala Lumpur by car. 

The park, especially the pond attracts many activities to the local and tourist alike, including, fishing, bird watching, family get away and jogging.

Kinta Nature Park has a large bird population and varieties. It certainly entices many birders to be there. The main target birds include different types of herons, egrets, hornbills, bee-eaters, kingfishers, shrikes, weavers, bulbuls, pigeons just to name a few.

Black-capped Babbler @ Sungai Congkak, Selangor, Malaysia

Black-capped Babbler (Pellorneum capistratum) is a very active and fast moving bird among hundred species of birds can be found in Sungai Congkak Recreational Forest, Selangor, Malaysia. The bird can be found at the forest edges in the recreational forest.  

Sungai Congkak Recreational Forest is yet another wonderful birding destinations in Selangor, Malaysia as it is a residence to many exotic birds. The recreational forest covers a large area of tropical rain forest, waterfalls, trekking and streams. Whereas accommodations, camp sites, food and recreational activities are provided along the stream, right outside the entrance to the forest. It can be reached in approximately one hour from Kuala Lumpur by car. Sungai Congkak Recreational Forest has a large bird population and varieties. It certainly entices many birders to be there. Red-whiskered Bulbul @ Bukit Antarabangsa, Ampang, Selangor, Malaysia

Red-whiskered Bulbul (Pycnonotus jocosus) is another fast action and attractive bird among many different types of birds can be found in Bukit Antarabangsa, Ampang, Selangor, Malaysia. Red-whiskered Bulbul is residence to the hill. Due to its relatively high altitude and forest reserves, Bukit Antarabangsa is home to many exotic residence and migratory birds. They can be found on the trees at the edges of the forest. 

The main target birds in Bukit Antarabangsa include different types Malkohas, Ioras, Doves, Orioles, Woodpeckers, Barbets, Flycatchers, Bee-eaters, Drongos and Bulbuls just to name a few.

Chestnut-hooded Laughingthrush @ Kinabalu Park, Sabah, Borneo, East Malaysia

Chestnut-hooded Laughingthrush (Pterorhinus treacheri) is yet another colorful and attractive bird can be found in Kinabalu Park, Sabah, Borneo, East Malaysia. 

Kinabalu Park needs no introduction to the world, especially well-known to the nature lovers. Located in the district of Ranau, west coast of Sabah, island of Borneo, East Malaysia, some 90 km from the capital city, Kota Kinabalu. Kinabalu Park is the first Malaysia's World Heritage Site designated by UNESCO. It can be reached in approximately 2.5 hours by bus or car from Kota Kinabalu International Airport.
