Blue-throated Bee-eater in Action @ Kampung Talang, Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia

Blue-throated Bee-eater (Merops viridis) is a colorful, fast and attractive bird among hundred species of birds can be found in Kampung Talang, Tanjung Ipoh, Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The bird can be found at the forest edges along the road of Kampung Talang, Tanjung Ipoh.

The photos were taken using Nikon D500 paired with Nikkor 500 PF lens, ISO 1600, 1/6000, F 5.6, EV -1.0. 

Kampung Talang can be reached in approximately one and half hours from Kuala Lumpur by car. Since it is located next to large forest reserve, Kampung Talang has a large bird population and varieties. It certainly entices many birders to be there. The main target birds in Kampung Talang include different types of broadbills, babblers, sunbirds, hornbills, woodpeckers, parrots, shrikes, malkoha just to name a few.

Other nearby birding destinations to Kampung Talang are Seremban Lake Garden, Linggi River, Ulu Bendul and Gunung Tampin Forest Reserve.

Golden-whiskered Barbet @ Seremban Lake Garden, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia

Golden-whiskered Barbet (Psilopogon chrysopogon) is a colorful, large and attractive bird among hundred species of birds can be found in Seremban Lake Garden aka. Taman Tasik Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The bird can be found at the forest edges along the road of the lake garden.    

Seremban Lake Garden is one of few parks located in the center of Seremban city. It is a public park that serves a green lung for city folks. It is located at Jalan Taman Bunga, just an hour drive away from Kuala Lumpur City Center. The park is an important place for family get way, children activities, jogging and even wedding. At the same time, it attracts wildlife and it has become a bird sanctuary. 

Seremban Lake Garden has a large bird population and varieties with a recorded more than 40 species of birds. It certainly entices many birders to be there. The main target birds include different types of kites, eagles, owls, bee-eaters, kingfishers, shrikes, weavers, flycatchers, bulbuls, pigeons just to name a few. It has become a destination for migratory birds too.
