Lesser Adjutant @ Pulau Indah Klang, Selangor, Malaysia

Lesser Adjutant (Leptoptilos javanicus) is an attractive and fast action bird among hundred species of birds can be found in Pulau Indah Klang, Selangor, Malaysia. Lesser Adjutant is a migratory bird to Pulau Indah. The bird can be found at the forest edges a long the main roads in the island.

White-headed Munia @ Taman Melawati Hill, Selangor, Malaysia

White-headed Munia (Lonchura maja) is one of the colorful, attractive and fast action residence birds can be found in Taman Melawati Hill. It can be found in the vegetation along the small stream at the foothill.

Taman Melawati Hill is hill forest located at Taman Melawati, in the state of Selangor. The hill is part of Tabur Hill East or Bukit Tabur, a popular hiking place to the local during weekend and a wildlife and nature heaven. The view from the hill is breathtaking. It can be reached just less than an hour drive away from Kuala Lumpur City Center. 

Other neighboring areas to Taman Melawati Hill for the birding destinations include Kemensah Heights and Ukay Perdana.

Taman Melawati Hill is well known place to watch raptors migration process which happens during the month of March and April every year. It certainly entices many birders to be there. Pintasan Saloma aka. Saloma Link Bridge @ Kuala Lumpur City Center, Malaysia

Saloma Link Bridge aka. Pintasan Saloma in local Malay language is a new Kuala Lumpur city center's icon. At the same time, it has become a new attraction to both local and foreign tourists. 

The bridge measuring 63 meter long pedestrian bridge linking the famous Kampung Baru and Jalan Ampang, leading to KLCC Twin Tower. The bridge design concept is a resemble of "betel nut leave arrangement" which exists in Malay culture. 

How to get there

The easiest way to get there is by LRT (Light Rail Transit), stop at Kampung Baru station. Saloma Link Bridge is just few steps away from the station. Alternatively, by bus to Jalan Ampang. The bridge opens 24 hours a day. 

Opening since February 2020, the best time to visit the new city icon is during evening when the bridge is lighted with beautiful and changing decorative lights.
