Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai are two main cities most visited by travellers in the North of Thailand. The cities offer both culture, woodcarving, silverware, silk handicrafts, scenic views and food. Chiang Mai also called “the Rose of North” is home to famous Buddhist temple located at the top of Doi Suthep or mount Suthep, Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, the old city of Chiang Mai or Muang Boran, umbrella painting factory and longneck tribe villages. Not to forget the elephant camp.
