Wat Tham Sua also known as Tiger Cave Temple is located just next to Mae Khlong river, some 20 km from downtown Kanchanaburi. It can be reached by less than half hour drive or motorbike ride. The temple complex can be viewed from 365 degree as it is located on the top of limestone hill.
To reach to the temple complex, one needs to climb some 160 colorful steps on a 40 degree slope. For less able individuals, lift is provided for a little fee of Baht 10 for the ride. It opens daily from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Just in the same temple complex, a famous Wat Tham Khao Noi is located. Wat Tham Sua is certainly a must-visit destination in Kanchanaburi, Thailand.
