Another attraction to Kanchanaburi town is a giant rain tree. Located at Royal Thai Army Veterinary and Agriculture Division some 40 km from Kanchanaburi town center which takes approximately 50 minutes drive or motor bike ride.
The rain tree measuring 20 meters tall and 52 meters diameter of shading canopy, covering an area of approximately 2,500 square meters, with 15 meters of trunk perimeter. The rain tree is believed to have more than 100 year of age.
