Sooty-headed Bulbul (Pycnonotus aurigaster) is a beautiful, fast and attractive bird among many different types of birds can be found in Sungai Buaya, Selangor, Malaysia. Sooty-headed Bulbul is a resident bird to Sungai Buaya.
Sungai Buaya is a township in Hulu Selangor near Rawang town, in the state of Selangor, Malaysia. It can be reached in approximately one hour from Kuala Lumpur city center by car. The area is mostly covered by secondary forest and primary rainforest. Hence, it attracts both endemic and migratory birds to this area. The birds can be found along the forest edges leading to the water treatment plant, surrounding rainforest and palm oil plantation.
The main target birds in Sungai Buaya include different types Malkohas, Ioras, Sunbirds, Eagles, Flowerpeckers, Orioles, Woodpeckers, Barbets, Flycatchers, Owls, Drongos and Bulbuls just to name a few.
