Banded Kingfisher [Female] @ Sungai Long Hill, Selangor, Malaysia

Banded Kingfisher (Lacedo pulchella) [Female] is a cute, fast and attractive bird among many different types of birds can be found in Sungai Long Hill, Selangor, Malaysia. Banded Kingfisher is a resident bird to Sungai Long Hill. 

Sungai Long is a township near Kajang town, in the state of Selangor, Malaysia. It can be reached in approximately one hour from Kuala Lumpur city center by car. The hill has become an attraction to the local people around the area as it provides sporting and recreational venues to them, including trekking, hiking, walking and cycling. The area is mostly covered by secondary forest and primary rainforest. Hence, it attracts both endemic and migratory birds to this area. The birds can be found along the forest edges. 

The main target birds in Sungai Long hill include different types Kingfishers, Malkohas, Ioras, Sunbirds, Eagles, Flowerpeckers, Orioles, Woodpeckers, Barbets, Flycatchers,ogos and Bulbuls just to name a few.
