Banded Woodpecker (Chrysophlegma miniaceum) is a cute, very fast and attractive bird among hundred species of birds can be found in Gunung Tampin forest reserve, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The bird can be found at the forest edges along the road to the peak in the forest reserve.
Gunung Tampin or Mount Tampin forest reserve is a wonderful birding destination in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia as it is a residence to many exotic birds. The forest reserve covers a large area of tropical rain forest, a waterfall, trekking, camp areas, car park and streams. At the peak of the mountain is the communication tower.
