Pale Blue Flycatcher (Cyornis unicolor) [Male] is a colorful, fast and attractive bird among hundred species of birds can be found in Gunung Tampin forest reserve, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The bird can be found at the forest edges along the road to the peak in the forest reserve.
Gunung Tampin or Mount Tampin forest reserve is a wonderful birding destination in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia as it is a residence to many exotic birds. The forest reserve covers a large area of tropical rain forest, a waterfall, trekking, camp areas, car park and streams. At the peak of the mountain is the communication tower. It can be reached in approximately two hours from Kuala Lumpur by car. Gunung Tampin forest reserve has a large bird population and varieties. It certainly entices many birders to be there. The main target birds in Gunung Tampin forest reserve include different types of kingfishers, babblers, sunbirds, hornbills, woodpeckers, broadbills, shrikes, malkoha just to name a few.
Since Gunung Tampin forest reserve is a popular destination for hiking, cycling and family get away especially during weekend and school holiday, be there early and wait for the desire lighting to come and search for the exotic birds.
