Udaipur City Palace @ Udaipur, Rajasthan, India

Udaipur City Palace is located in the city center of Udaipur, state of Rajasthan, India. The palace is the largest in the Rajasthan state situated on the top of a hill overseeing the city using Rajasthani and Mugal architecture combined. 

Both Interior and exterior of the palace are very impressive and well maintained. Udaipur City Palace is certainly a must visit destination in Udaipur.

Udaipur also well known as the "City of Lakes" is the fifth biggest city in the state of Rajasthan after the capital city, Jaipur. The name given "City of Lakes" is synonyms to the five interconnected lakes in the city, namely Fateh Sagar lake, Pichola lake, Swaroop Sagar lake Rangsagar and Doodh Talai lake which were part of restoration project under government of India. Udaipur is a well connected city. It can be reached from New Delhi, Mumbai and Jaipur by road which is relatively smooth passing through few newly built toll roads. Airport is available served by domestic flights. Rails services is also available from bigger cities to Udaipur. The road journey from the capital city Jaipur takes approximately 7 hours for 400 km.   

Best time to visit Udaipur

The best time to visit Udaipur city is during winter, from November to March with the temperature between 10-20 degree centigrade and a clear blue sky. 

Udaipur is popular tourist destination for both local and foreign tourists for its historical sites, picturesque city view, culture, handicraft and food.
