Bhangarh village where the Bhangarh fort is located is known to be the most haunted place in Rajasthan, India. Bhangarh Fort is situated approximately 80 km from Jaipur city. It can be reached in 1.5 hours by car or bus from Jaipur.
Bhangarh Fort is a beautiful historical ruins which was built on the sloping terrain, circa 17th century. Inside the fort, a Hindu temple Gopinath is located. A distance of approximately 2 km from the village entrance gate to the fort entrance gate passing through unpaved road surrounded by beautifully built structure on the left and right sides of the road.
The best time to visit Bhangarh Fort is during winter, from November to March with the temperature between 10-20 degree centigrade and a clear blue sky.
The entrance to the fort is only opened after sunrise and it closes before sunset. A small entrance fee is collected at the entrance to the village. The fee is charged differently between local and foreign tourists. Bhangarh Fort is a popular tourist destination for both local and foreign tourists.
