Malayan Banded Pitta [Male] @ Bukit Rengit, Lanchang, Pahang, Malaysia

Malayan Banded Pitta (Hydrornis irena) [Male] is a very colorful, attractive and active bird among many hundreds of birds can be found at Bukit Rengit, Lanchang. It can be found in the forest, along the road leading to the Deerland Park.

The photos were taken using Nikon D500 paired with Nikkor 500 PF lens, ISO 2000, F 5.6, EV -0.7.  

Bukit Rengit, Lanchang is yet another popular birding place in Pahang, Malaysia. Lanchang is a small town located some 120 km from the capital city, Kuala Lumpur. It can be reached in approximately one and half hour by car. The birding place located at Bukit Rengit not far from Deerland Park.  Other attraction to Lanchang is the elephant sanctuary.
 
It is certainly another wonderful birding destinations as it is a residence to many exotic birds. The main target birds in Bukit Rengit include Malkoha, Hooded Pitta and Malayan Pitta, different types of Babblers, different types of Trogons and different types of Bulbul just to name a few.
