Blue-eared Kingfisher @ Serdang Hill, Selangor, Malaysia

Blue-eared Kingfisher (Alcedo meninting) is a cute, fast and attractive bird among many different types of birds can be found in Serdang Hill, Selangor, Malaysia. Blue-eared Kingfisher is a resident bird to Serdang Hill.

Other nearby birding destination to Serdang Hill is Sungai Long hill. Sungai Long is a township near Kajang town, in the state of Selangor, Malaysia. It can be reached in approximately one hour from Kuala Lumpur city center by car. The hill has become an attraction to the local people around the area as it provides sporting and recreational venues to them, including trekking, hiking, walking and cycling. The area is mostly covered by secondary forest and primary rainforest. Hence, it attracts both endemic and migratory birds to this area. The birds can be found along the forest edges.
