Silver-breasted Broadbill [Female] @ Sungai Congkak, Selangor, Malaysia

Silver-breasted Broadbill (Serilophus lunatus) is a very colorful, adorable and active bird among hundred species of birds can be found in Sungai Congkak Recreational Forest, Selangor, Malaysia. The bird can be found at the forest edges in the recreational forest.  The female bird is featured by necklace whilst the same is absent on the male. 

Sungai Congkak Recreational Forest is yet another wonderful birding destinations in Selangor, Malaysia as it is a residence to many exotic birds. The recreational forest covers a large area of tropical rain forest, waterfalls, trekking and streams. Whereas accommodations, camp sites, food and recreational activities are provided along the stream, right outside the entrance to the forest. It can be reached in approximately one hour from Kuala Lumpur by car. Sungai Congkak Recreational Forest has a large bird population and varieties. It certainly entices many birders to be there. Black and Red Broadbill [Nest] @ Serdang Hill, Selangor, Malaysia

Black and Red Broadbill (Cymbirhynchus macrorhynchos) is a cute, colorful and attractive bird among many different types of birds can be found in Serdang Hill, Selangor, Malaysia. Black and Red Broadbill is a resident bird to Serdang Hill.

Other nearby birding destination to Serdang Hill is Sungai Long hill. Sungai Long is a township near Kajang town, in the state of Selangor, Malaysia. It can be reached in approximately one hour from Kuala Lumpur city center by car. The hill has become an attraction to the local people around the area as it provides sporting and recreational venues to them, including trekking, hiking, walking and cycling. The area is mostly covered by secondary forest and primary rainforest. Hence, it attracts both endemic and migratory birds to this area. The birds can be found along the forest edges.

Barred Eagle-Owl @ Seremban Lake Garden, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia

Barred Eagle-Owl (Bubo sumatranus) is a cute, large and attractive bird among hundred species of birds can be found in Seremban Lake Garden aka. Taman Tasik Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The bird can be found at the forest edges along the road of the lake garden.    

Seremban Lake Garden is one of few parks located in the center of Seremban city. It is a public park that serves a green lung for city folks. It is located at Jalan Taman Bunga, just an hour drive away from Kuala Lumpur City Center. The park is an important place for family get way, children activities, jogging and even wedding. At the same time, it attracts wildlife and it has become a bird sanctuary.

Mountain Bulbul @ Fraser's Hill, Pahang, Malaysia

Mountain Bulbul (Ixos mcclellandii) is yet another colorful, attractive and very fast bird among few hundred species of birds can be found in Fraser's Hill, Pahang, Malaysia. The bird can be found on the tree branches along the roads at the Hill.
