Chitwan National Park, Nepal

Chitwan National Park is the first and largest national park in Nepal. Located in the South central Nepal, it can be reached by car or by bus approximately 5 hours from the capital city, Kathmandu.

The park covers the area of almost 1,000 square kilometers rich of both flora and fauna. Chitwan town located just next to the park, provides travelers with abundant accommodations, restaurants, bars and other tours activities.

To enter into the national park, travelers need to cross a small river, where small boats are made available for the crossing. Chitwan National Park is listed as one of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Nepal.
