Sonamarg aka. Sonmarg @ Kashmir, India

Sonamarg also known as Sonmarg is a hill station located the state of Jamu and Kashmir some 80 km north-east of Srinagar. It can be reached in approximately 2 hours by car from Srinagar. 

Sonamarg means "Meadow of Gold" is a popular tourist destination for both local and foreign tourists during spring and summer. Roads and resorts are closed during winter, from September to March due to snow falls as high as 6 feet and the temperature falls to minus 30 centigrade. Hence, the is no road access from Srinagar to Leh during winter.

Sonamarg's main attraction is the picturesque view of snow-capped mountain range, river flows between the mountains. It certainly a must-visit destination in Kashmir.

Kargil War Memorial @ Kashmir, India

Kargil War Memorial is located at the Srinagar - Leh national highway in the city of Drass at the foothills of Totoling Hill.

The war memorial was built by the India army in memory of those soldiers who perished during India and Pakistan conflict known as Kargil war in 1999.

Diskit Monastery @ Nubra Valley, Kashmir, India

Diskit Monastery also known as Deskit or Diskit Gompa (monastery) is the oldest and the largest Buddhist monastery in Ladakh, Northern India. It belongs to Tibetan Buddhism.

The monastery is located on the top of the hill overlooking the famous Nubra Valley. It consists of two parts, the monastery and the opposite side lies the 32 meter Maitreya Buddha statue facing the river. 

Diskit Monastery is one of the most beautiful and perfectly located monastery in India.
