Pha That Luang is a golden stupa and one of the main attractions in the capital city of Laos, Vientiane. It is considered the most important national monument and a national symbol. Pha That Luang is located approximately 4 km northeast of the city center.

Vientiane is the largest and capital city of Laos, a small country in Southeast Asia. Like its neighbor, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Myanmar, Laos is predominantly Buddhist country. 

There are many interesting places in the capital city, including traditional markets, That Dam or the black stupa, Scared Heart Cathedral church, Chinese temple and the hero statue of Chao Anouvong to name a few.
