Grey Heron and Its Prey @ Taman Tasik Permaisuri, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Grey Heron (Ardea cinerea) is a very active and attractive resident bird can be found in Taman Tasik Permaisuri. It can be found on the tree in the little island and around the park.

Taman Tasik Permaisuri is one of few parks located in the center of Kuala Lumpur city. It is a public park that serves a green lung for city folks. It is located at Bandar Permaisuri, Cheras, just half an hour drive away from Kuala Lumpur City Center. 

The park is an important place for family get way, sporting activities, children activities, jogging, bird watching and even wedding. At the same time, it attracts wildlife and it has become a bird sanctuary. 

Taman Tasik Permaisuri has a large bird population and varieties with a recorded more than 30 species of birds. It certainly entices many birders to be there. The main target birds include different types of kites, eagles, egrets, herons, bee-eaters, kingfishers, shrikes, weavers, flycatchers, bulbuls, pigeons just to name a few. It has become a destination for migratory birds too.
